the community crisis center in elgin provides a safe refuge for people experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, or crisis because of economic circumstances. every hour of every day, we offer intervention programs, children\'s services and community education to help families shape a new life.emergency food pantry: available 7 days a week to those in need when other area food pantries are closed. last year our emergency food pantry provided 32856 meals to 1743 families. 4513 referrals to partnering food pantries were given to 2222 individuals. it is clear to us that people in our community are hungry and we believe that it is a responsibility of our organization to provide the most basic of needs to people regardless of their situation.office: 8:00 am-4:00 pm monday-friday
